Naturopathy

Naturopathic philosophy takes a holistic approach to health. It believes that when given the right environment, the body has its own capacity to heal. The focus of Naturopathy is to find and treat the root cause of illness for an individual, rather than treating symptoms. When you experience symptoms that is your body signalling that something is not quite right,. In order to correct symptoms, we look to understand what the body is trying to tell us and correct the the cause of the symptoms.

As a Naturopath, I work a bit like a detective to uncover the root cause of imbalance. To do this I take a thorough case history, analysing how your current presentation is affecting your body systems and what dietary, personal or lifestyle factors may be contributing to your health. In order to get s full picture of your health I may refer you back to your GP for medical testing as this helps to ensure we cover all bases and treat you effectively and safely. Referral for functional testing can also be arranged if indicated.
